NextGen Hackathon 2025 - Official Rules and Regulations
1. Organizer and Partners
The NextGen Hackathon is officially organized by ALLIANCE METIERS ET TECHNOLOGIES, a professional
association dedicated to advancing technological excellence and fostering entrepreneurship across the
French Riviera and beyond.
The Hackathon is supported by a network of leading universities and major IT companies from Southern
France, ensuring strong industry engagement and academic excellence.
This collaboration aims to empower the next generation of innovators, disruptors, and problem-solvers to
shape a better world.

2. Eligibility and Participation
- Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of registration.
- Background: Open to students, independent developers, startup founders, designers, researchers, and
entrepreneurs globally.
- Team Formation: Participants may register as individuals or form teams of up to five (5) members.
- Registration: All participants must complete the official registration form available on nextgenhackathon.com
by the published deadline.
- Pre-selection: If applications exceed capacity, a pre-selection process based on portfolios, projects, or
motivation letters will be conducted.

3. Hackathon Scope and Themes
Focus areas include AI for Good, GreenTech, HealthTech, SpaceTech, and EdTech. Participants are
encouraged to propose visionary, yet feasible projects.

4. Intellectual Property and Code of Conduct
Participants retain IP rights. Open-source tools allowed with attribution. Respectful, inclusive conduct is mandatory.

5. Judging Panel: The Best of the Best
The NextGen Hackathon Judging Committee is composed of up to 80 highly distinguished professionals,
carefully selected for their expertise, impact, and leadership in technology and innovation.
Judge Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 3 years of verified expertise in tech, venture capital, product design, or entrepreneurship.
- Outstanding achievements or contributions in their field.
- Demonstrated integrity, neutrality, and commitment to innovation.
- Strict absence of conflict of interest with participating teams.
All judges are required to sign the Official Code of Ethics before participating.

6. Hybrid Jury System
While the hackathon is conducted fully offline, the judging process will follow a hybrid model to ensure
fairness, transparency, and accessibility for experts worldwide.
- Primary voting will take place on a secure online voting platform, accessible to the entire international jury
panel.
- Official delegates from French Tech and institutional partners will be invited to participate in-person during
the demo day and submit their evaluations onsite.
- All judging will follow a standardized scoring rubric, regardless of the mode of participation.
This structure ensures that every project is reviewed with professionalism and consistency, while also offering
flexibility for international and regional experts.

10. Final Provisions
